Up for auction is a 2000 Cobalt 18’ with a Volvo Penta inboard motor. There is no trailer with this boat. This boat comes to us due to being flipped over in the water during a storm. The motor was submerged and it was drained and dried. Our mechanic was able to start and run the motor/engine in our shop, using our remote “test” tank and our shop ignition wire harness. Keep in mind this is a salvage unit and will need further mechanical maintenance performed on the motor/engine prior to use. The lower unit is lake stained and the prop is chipped. On the bow there are scratches on both sides. The gel coat is faded and there are some chips in the gel coat around the seat. Going on to the port side there are scratches from bow to stern and the gel coat is faded. Moving on to the stern the sun deck seat is cracked and has a few holes in it and the gel coat is faded. Moving on to the starboard side there are a lot of scratches in the stern and there are more scratches going to the bow. There is a hole in the gun wale. The horn cover is missing. On the inside the port side bow seat is ripped and there are chips in the gel coat in between the seats. The windshield is missing. The seats are stained. There is a fiberglass floor so there is no rot. The hull looks to be in good shape other than some scratches from bow to stern. Good luck biding on this boat!
